Key takeaways
- iCal sync works by each channel regularly reading the others' calendars — set it up in both directions for every channel.
- Sync isn't instant, so very high-demand dates carry a small risk of overlap.
- Pick one master calendar and make every manual change there first.
- Check your calendars line up regularly — a broken link fails silently.
How iCal sync works
Most booking sites can give you a calendar link — usually called an iCal or ICS link — that shows the nights already booked or blocked on that site. They can also import other sites' links. When you import a link, the site checks it regularly and blocks any nights that appear as booked.
