Most parks allow private letting but rules vary — check your licence agreement and speak to the park office first. Many parks are happy as long as guests follow site rules. Confirm what paperwork they need before you start.
If you let your caravan you'll typically need an annual gas safety check and a 'Landlord's Gas Safety Certificate' displayed inside. Tell your insurer you're letting — holiday-let cover is often an add-on, not included as standard.
Rental income is taxable and must be declared to HMRC via self-assessment. Note the Furnished Holiday Lettings (FHL) regime ended on 6 April 2025, so former FHL income is now treated under ordinary property income rules. Speak to an accountant about your situation.
